Dale Mcdermott

Dale McDermott is Chief Operating Officer of CGLCC, Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce. Established in 2003, CGLCC is a trusted partner linking LGBT+ businesses in Canada to the wider business community. Before joining CGLCC, he worked for Salesforce in strategy & operations and also for Ernst & Young LLP in management and technology consulting advising some of the largest organizations in North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Dale is a member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Club Toronto, Canada’s preeminent public affairs podium. He is a member of the Banff Forum, a network of young Canadian leaders from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors committed to reinvigorating debate in Canada about key public policy issues with the goal of building a better Canada. Dale is also a Fellow of CivicAction’s DiverseCity Fellows program, an award-winning leadership experience for diverse rising leaders in the greater Toronto region. Dale previously served as president of Ireland’s largest youth political organization, Young Fine Gael, the youth wing of Ireland’s governing political party, Fine Gael.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting & Finance from the Technological University Dublin, where he graduated with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. He is also a recipient of the TU Dublin Gold Medal award for placing first in his year and outstanding academic achievement.

Dale originates from Dublin, Ireland and presently resides in Toronto.
