Lisa Milburn is the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for BMO Wealth Management and the Management and Executive Sponsor, BMO for Women. Based in Toronto, she is responsible for Personal Wealth marketing, working in close partnership with the Wealth lines of business to develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with brand and customer experience strategy and principles. In addition to her role as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Lisa is the executive sponsor for BMO for Women, an enterprise program developed to help our businesses come together as one bank to improve the way we build lasting client relationships with female entrepreneurs and affluent women.
Lisa joined BMO Financial Group in 2008. In her previous role as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, BMO Insurance, Lisa led the renewal and execution of BMO Insurance’s strategy, regained momentum and strengthened the Creditor and Travel Insurance business in partnership with Canadian P&C and achieved leading company employee engagement. In her role as Chief Administrative Officer in Canadian P&C Banking, she led the launch of a renewed brand promise and new customer service standards across our North American P&C banking and channels groups and played a key role in launching their three-year strategic platform. As Vice President, Corporate Communications, Lisa was responsible for global strategic communications, executive communications and issues management where she built a team of seasoned communications professionals that demonstrated the importance of communications in executing line of business strategies with alignment across the enterprise. Lisa is a proven leader with a reputation for building collaborative teams and creating an inspiring and rewarding employee experience.
Lisa is a member of the bank’s Leadership Council and is a Board Director for BMO Trust Company. She is an active volunteer in support of the community participating in the annual BMO Employee Giving, Walk so Kids can Talk and BMO volunteer day campaigns. Outside of the bank, she volunteers for CivicAction as a DiverseCity Fellows mentor, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FEW) mentor and sits on the advisory board for Ryerson University’s MBA program.
Prior to joining BMO, Lisa progressed into senior leadership roles in the Insurance and Pharmaceutical industry.
Outside of work, Lisa spends time with her husband, teenage son and daughter and German Short-haired puppy named Alpine. She loves being active, spending as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying the cottage and travelling.
